World Cup 2023: Umpires have a chance to make records in the semi-final match between India and New Zealand, ICC released the list of match officials – Bollywood Keeda

World Cup 2023: The current Cricket World Cup (ICC Cricket World Cup 2023) has now reached its final stage. Four semi-finalist teams have been decided for the tournament. The first semi-final of the tournament will be played between host India and New Zealand (IND vs NZ) on 15 November in Mumbai (Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai). ICC has released the list of Match Officials for this match. The umpire is also going to set a new record in this match. In the first semi-final match between India and New Zealand, the on-field umpires will be Rod Tucker and Richard Illingworth. This match is going to be very special for Tucker, because this will be the 100th ODI match of his umpiring career.

Let us tell you that ICC has released the list of both the semi-final matches on Monday, in which the Council itself also shared this milestone of Tucker. Tucker umpired in an ODI match for the first time in January 2009. In the match to be held on 15th November, he will complete his century of umpiring in ODI matches. In this match, Tucker will be accompanied by third umpire Joel Wilson, fourth umpire Adrian Holdstock and match referee Andy Pycroft. Before Tucker, Richard Cattleborough had completed the record of umpiring in 100 ODI matches in this tournament. Cattleborough completed his 100th ODI match on 21 October in the Netherlands and Sri Lanka match.

Everyone will remember the 2019 World Cup semi-final match between India and New Zealand. That run out of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, which brought tears to the eyes of millions of Indian cricket fans. After four years, both the teams will again face each other in the semi-finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup. Richard Illinworth is going to participate in this match again. In the last edition of the World Cup, Kettleborough and Illingworth were the on-field umpires in the India-New Zealand semi-final match, whereas this time Tucker and Illingworth have been appointed as the on-field umpires.
