World Billiards Championship 2023: India’s star cue player Pankaj Advani created history in the final of IBSF (World Billiards Championships). Pankaj Advani won the title for the 26th time by defeating 2018 world champion and compatriot Saurav Kothari 1000–416 in the final.

Pankaj, 26-time champion of World Billiards and Snooker, defeated Rupesh Shah in the semi-finals. With this he had made it to the finals. Pankaj defeated Rupesh 900-273. Talking about Saurav Kothari, he defeated Dhruv Sitwala in the second semi-final. Kothari had achieved a thrilling victory of 900-756 in this match.

Pankaj Advani’s career
Pankaj Advani’s career so far has been brilliant. He made his international debut in 1999. Pankaj had participated in the World Billiards Championship in England. He won the IBSF World Billiards Championship title in 2005. Pankaj has been champion nine times in long format and eight times in point format. He became the first player to achieve the Grand Double. Apart from this, he has also won gold medal for India. Pankaj got gold medal in Asian Games 2010. He participated in singles. Before this, he had also won gold in the 2006 Asian Games. It was organized in Doha.
