People can take their vehicles out of Delhi-NCR by obtaining a no objection certificate from the transport department. According to the information received from the Transport Department, there is a ban on driving ten year old diesel and 15 year old petrol vehicles in Delhi-NCR. This order of NGT is in force due to increasing pollution. However, the age of the vehicle on the registration certificate is fixed at 15 years.
According to the department, registration of vehicles that have completed 15 years is suspended. This suspension is done for six months. During this period, the vehicle owner can take the vehicle to another district after obtaining a no objection certificate from the department. Once the registration is cancelled, no objection certificate will be received. ARTO Administration Dr. Siyaram Verma said that from time to time the registration of old vehicles is suspended and cancelled. He said that people should not drive old vehicles on the roads. If caught, the vehicles will be confiscated. The vehicle will be dismantled.
Vehicles can be given in scrap centers
According to the Transport Department, old vehicles can be given to scrap centres. There are two vehicle scrap centers in the district. One center is in Noida while the other is in Greater Noida. After getting the vehicle towed in these centres, definitely obtain the certificate. It is mandatory to show this certificate to get exemption in road tax.
Claim to give no objection certificate in 24 hours
According to the Transport Department, if all the documents are correct then no objection certificate will be issued within 24 hours. ARTO Administration Dr. Siyaram Verma said that the concerned staff is instructed to issue the no objection certificate within the stipulated time. If this does not happen then an answer is sought from the staff.
The number of vehicle scrap centers will increase in the district
The number of vehicle scrap centers will increase in the district. According to information received from the Transport Department, two to three new scrap centers may open this year. For this, applications are reaching the Transport Department Headquarters. New scrap centers will open this year. After this, people will have the facility to rent a vehicle at a center near them.
Four to five vehicles are seized every day
According to information received from the enforcement team of the Transport Department, on an average four to five old vehicles are seized every day. Sometimes in special operations more vehicles are seized than this. These vehicles are not returned to the people.
