New Delhi. Chhath Puja is a great festival of India which is very important for all the countrymen, there is a different enthusiasm among all the countrymen for this great festival. To ensure that the Purvanchali brothers and sisters of Delhi do not have to go out for Chhath Puja, the Aam Aadmi Party government has constructed more than 1000 Chhath Ghats across Delhi.
The AAP government had started funding the Chhath Puja celebrations since 2014, in 2014 the Delhi government had financed the celebration of Chhath Puja at 69 sites and spent Rs 2.5 crore whereas in the last year 2022, the Delhi government had Financed the organization of Chhath Puja at 1,100 places and spent Rs 25 crore.
But if you look towards all the other cities of the country, you will find that Delhi has the maximum number of ghats for Chhath. Let us tell you that there are about 100 ghats in Lucknow, the capital of UP, 90 ghats in Noida, and 108 ghats in Patna, the capital of Bihar where this festival is organized the most.
- Like every year, this year too the Aam Aadmi Party government is organizing Chhath Puja in Delhi.
- Delhi government has announced to finance Chhath Puja celebrations at 1,100 places in the capital.
- Special arrangements have been made at these sites for Chhath Puja celebrations, which include tents, audio visual setup, chairs, tables, LED screens, drinking water, security, installation of CCTV cameras, mobile toilets, ambulance, and power backup.
- Delhi government will also arrange cultural programs at many places.
