Katra/Jammu, Railways is going to give another gift to Vaishno Devi passengers. Another Vande Bharat train is going to start between Katra and New Delhi on Saturday. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh will inaugurate it at 11 am.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the train through video conferencing. MP Jugal Kishore Sharma will welcome you at Jammu railway station. Katra is the second city in the country from where two Vande Bharat trains will run. Before this, two trains are running from Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This train will run six days a week. There will be no operations on Wednesday. This train will start from Katra at 6 am and reach Jammu at 7.13 am, Ludhiana at 10.26 am, Ambala at 11.44 am and New Delhi at 2 pm.
The first Vande Bharat train started on 3 October 2019. On October 3, 2019, the Union Home Minister flagged off the first Vande Bharat train between New Delhi and Katra. With the introduction of this express train, the travel time between Delhi and Katra has been reduced by eight hours. During the journey, the train stops at Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana and Jammu Tawi for a total of two minutes. New Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express train departs from New Delhi at 6 am and reaches Katra at 2 pm.
