New Delhi , Platform tickets will not be sold at New Delhi and Anand Vihar stations from Monday to Saturday (November 18). Its purpose is to stop the passengers from accompanying their acquaintances inside the station.
At the same time, due to the crowd of passengers going home on Chhath, seats are not available even in special trains. In such a situation, a large number of passengers are forced to travel without tickets or on unreserved tickets. Railway officials said that on Monday, seven special trains were run from New Delhi and 10 from Anand Vihar.
For the convenience of the passengers, a camp has been set up towards Ajmeri Gate at New Delhi Railway Station. The special train is being operated from platform 16, which is nearby from here. Special trains are running from platform number one at Anand Vihar. Along with setting up pandals outside, mobile charging, LCD, food stalls, inquiry counters, reserved and unreserved ticket counters have been opened for the passengers.
