PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has today given the gift of Diwali and Bhai Dooj to crores of farmers of the country. He has allotted the 15th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to 8 crore farmers of the country. An amount of Rs 2000 was transferred to the accounts of crores of farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer by pressing a button at the Tribal Pride Day program on the occasion of Birsa Munda Jayanti in Khunti, Jharkhand. This Kisan Samman Nidhi of Rs 2,000 each has reached the account of every farmer through DBT.
The total amount transferred to beneficiary farmers since the launch of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is expected to exceed Rs 2.80 lakh crore. Under the central government scheme launched on February 24, 2019, Rs 6,000 is deposited through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode in three equal installments over four months every year in the bank accounts of farmer families across the country.
Till now, an amount of more than Rs 2.61 lakh crore has been given to more than 11 crore farmers across the country. This financial assistance helps the farmers to meet their farming and other needs.
Program organized on the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda
On Birsa Munda Jayanti, PM Modi also launched a new scheme of Rs 24,000 crore for the tribal and tribal people here. On this occasion, PM Modi visited various stalls organized in the program in Khunti and took stock of the local products there and supported the government’s policy of Local for Vocal.
15 November has been celebrated as ‘Tribal Pride Day’. Today itself, PM Modi has released an amount of Rs 18,000 crore as the 15th installment to more than 8 crore beneficiary farmers.
Before this program today, the Prime Minister also paid floral tributes to the great tribal freedom fighter and public leader Lord Birsa Munda on the occasion of his birth anniversary at his native village Ulihatu in Jharkhand. On the occasion of Tribal Pride Day, he also visited Lord Birsa Munda Memorial Park and Freedom Fighters Museum in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda were also present in the Tribal Pride Day program. Many other ministers were also present along with him on this occasion.
