Nifty Latest News: After a period of stormy rise in the Indian stock market, there was a break of one week in the market and this week (from 26 December 2023 to 29 December 2023) a rise was seen in Nifty again. On weekly basis, Nifty closed this week with a gain of 382 points. However, due to the Christmas holiday, the market remained open only for four days this week.

Stock market trading ended with weakness on Friday. On the last day of the current calendar year, BSE Sensex closed at 72,240 with a weakness of 170 points, while Nifty 50 index closed at 21731 with a weakness of 47 points.

Nifty’s weekly gain

At the end of last week, Nifty of National Stock Exchange closed at the level of 21349. This week Nifty 50 closed at the level of 21731. In this way, a gain of 382 points was recorded in Nifty this week. Nifty fell only on one day (Friday) this week. There was a rise in Nifty in the remaining days.

Now after seven consecutive green candles on the weekly chart of Nifty, a small red candle and then a green candle has been formed. This means that the bullish trend in Nifty still continues.

This week on Tuesday, Nifty started trading at the level of 21338. After this, a strong rise was seen in Nifty on Wednesday and Thursday and on Thursday Nifty also saw a level of 21800. Friday was a declining day and Nifty closed at 21731.

Talking about the share gainers of Nifty 50, the biggest gain was in the shares of Tata Consumer Products Limited. This week Tata Consumer saw a growth of 11.0%. On Friday, Wipro shares closed at Rs 1086.8.

Similarly, the second biggest gainer of the week was Hindalco Industries Limited, which closed at 614.90 with a gain of 10.5 percent.

Tata Motors Limited was the third largest weekly profit making company this week. This week there was a total increase of 10.00 percent in this stock and it closed at the level of 780.0.

Bajaj Auto Limited also saw a gain of 8.8 percent this week and its weekly closing price was 6797.3. The fifth gainer stock of this week was Wipro Limited which increased by 8.6 percent and closed at the level of 471.3.

Although the market remained bullish this week, many big stocks closed with a decline. The first name among these top weekly losing stocks is that of ICICI Bank Limited. This week the stock fell by -0.8% and closed at Rs 996.6.

The second losing stock of this week was Bajaj Finance Limited. It recorded a decline of about -0.5 percent and closed at Rs 7327.8. State Bank of India closed with a decline this week. It declined by -0.3 percent and closed at the level of 642.1.
