Japanese automobile manufacturer Suzuki has recently launched the new generation Swift hatchback there. In the global market, the new Suzuki Swift is available in 3 trim levels and a new petrol engine with hybrid technology. Maruti Suzuki has also started testing the new Swift on Indian roads. The company is also preparing a sportier version of the Swift hatchback, which will be presented at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024.
Design of new Suzuki Swift
According to the pictures, many cosmetic updates will be made in the front and back side of the sporty Suzuki Swift. The doors of the hatchback will also be given a sporty look. Apart from this, the car will be provided with new design LED headlamps, new tail lights, glossy black front skid plate and alloy wheels. The new generation Swift will be built on the updated HEARTECT platform and the new Dezire will also be based on the same platform.
Features of new Suzuki Swift
Many changes will also be seen in the interior of the new Swift, in which many things will be similar to the Front and Baleno. Dual-tone color theme will be given in the interior of the car. It will have features like 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, semi-digital instrument console, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, flat-bottom steering wheel, toggle switch for climate control.
How is the new generation Swift? ,
It has been introduced with both petrol and hybrid powertrains. This hatchback is equipped with a 1.2-litre, 12V, DOHC engine, which generates 82bhp power at 5700rpm and 108Nm peak torque at 4500rpm. The mild hybrid model comes with a DC synchronous motor, which produces additional power and torque outputs of 3.1bhp and 60Nm respectively. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and the new CVT automatic gearbox. It is expected that the India-spec model may also get AMT option.
