Moong-Palak Dhokla Recipe: As long as you get samosas and pakodas with tea in the evening snack, it is fun, but these options are not at all good for health. Different from the normal Dhokla, today we will make Moong Dal Palak Dhokla. Both moong dal and spinach are rich in protein, fiber and many other essential nutrients. Ingredients (Moong-Palak Dhokla Recipe)

  • Peeled Moong Dal – 1 cup
  • Rice (soaked for 3 to 4 hours) – 1/4 cup
  • Spinach chopped and boiled – 1 bundle
  • Green chilli- as per taste
  • Ginger piece – small
  • Chopped coriander leaves – half cup
  • Curry leaves – half cup
  • Water – as required
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Eno or fruit salt – 1 sachet
  • Red chilli powder – half teaspoon
  • For tempering – spoon oil, mustard, asafoetida, curry leaves, sesame seeds

Recipe (Moong-Palak Dhokla Recipe)

1- First of all, add dal-rice, boiled spinach, green coriander, ginger, green chilli and a little water in the mixer and grind it.

2- Now take it out in a bowl and mix salt and eno powder. Now grease a plate well with oil. And keep water in the steamer to boil.

3- Pour this Dhokla batter in this plate. Sprinkle some red chilli on top. Set this plate in the steamer and steam for at least 15-20 minutes. Till then prepare the tadka.

4- Heat oil in tadka pan. Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, coriander, sesame seeds and curry leaves to it. Pour it over the prepared dhokla and cut it into pieces and serve. This breakfast is rich in iron and protein and will be liked by adults as well as children.
