Ingredients (Matar Nimona Recipe)

  • Green peas – 1 cup
  • Boiled potatoes – 1
  • Tomato – 1 cup
  • Finely chopped green chillies – 2 to 3
  • Asafoetida – 1 pinch
  • Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  • Cumin – 1 tsp
  • Ginger – 1 inch grated
  • Chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Mustard oil – 2 tbsp

Recipe (Matar Nimona Recipe)

1- To make Pea Nimona, first boil the peas thoroughly. After this, grind it well with the help of a grinder or mortar.

2- After this, chop the tomato finely or grind it coarsely. Now put the pan on the gas, add mustard oil in it and heat it.

3-After this, add cumin, ginger, green chillies and fry it. Now add ground peas and boiled potatoes to it, mix it well and then add all the spices and fry well.

4-When peas start releasing oil, add about 1 cup of water in it and cover and cook for about 10 to 15 minutes. Now your delicious Matar Ka Nimona is ready. Add fine coriander leaves and garam masala to it and serve. You can eat it with roti or rice.
