New Delhi , Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia has not got relief from Rouse Avenue Court in the Delhi Excise Policy case. The court has extended his judicial custody till December 11.
The court heard the case in detail and said that many documents are yet to be filed by the ED against the accused persons. Meanwhile, the court expressed displeasure with the lawyers and asked them to complete the compliance of 207 CrPC as soon as possible so that the hearing can start. The court also issued notice to ED and fixed November 24 for arguments on Benoy Babu’s interim bail plea.
Earlier, Manish Sisodia had also approached the Supreme Court but he did not get relief from there also. Commenting on his bail plea, the Supreme Court had said that the investigating agency is not able to establish a transaction of Rs 338 crore, hence Manish Sisodia cannot be granted bail. The court also said that if the case in the lower court is not concluded within 6 months, then Sisodia can apply again for bail.

Manish Sisodia was the Excise Minister of Delhi at the time of the alleged liquor scam..He was arrested by the CBI in February this year. Later, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) also registered a case of money laundering and arrested him. In both the cases, the lower court and the High Court have rejected his bail plea. The lower court had said that he played a key role in the scam by changing the excise policy. Delhi High Court had also refused bail considering the allegations against Sisodia as serious.
