Lok Sabha Election 2024: Complaint of Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis about code of conduct violation – Bollywood Keeda

Lok Sabha Election 2024: Mumbai. Congress has filed a complaint with the state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) accusing Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and BJP candidate from Solapur Lok Sabha seat Ram Satpute of violating the Model Code of Conduct. Congress has also attached an alleged video conversation between Satpute and Fadnavis with the complaint.

It has been claimed that the Deputy Chief Minister has agreed to the request of the BJP candidate from Solapur to pave the way for withdrawal of cases registered under Section 353 of the Indian Penal Code against people of a particular community. This section deals with assault or use of criminal force to prevent a public servant from discharging his duty.

Congress made the video an issue

Maharashtra Congress unit’s chief spokesperson Atul Londhe has sent a complaint letter to the CEO, in which the link of the video clip has been attached. The letter said, ‘I would like to draw your attention to the serious violation of the Model Code of Conduct by the BJP and its leaders in Maharashtra, especially Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and BJP candidate from Solapur Ram Satpute, during the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. ‘Through video evidence, it has come to my notice that Satpute spoke to Fadnavis for assistance in withdrawing the cases under section 353 of the IPC,’ according to the letter. Fadnavis agreed to this which indicates abuse of power and position. Such an act is a clear violation of the code of conduct.
