The problems of the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi are not showing signs of diminishing. Delhi LG VK Saxena has ordered a CBI investigation in another case. A CBI inquiry has been recommended into the allegations of fake tests in Delhi’s Mohalla Clinic.
It is alleged that fake tests were being conducted for the benefit of the lab. Earlier, there were also allegations of ‘claim scam’ in Mohalla clinics and Delhi government hospitals and the LG has already recommended a CBI inquiry.
According to the information given by the LG office, a CBI investigation has been recommended in the case of ‘fake lab test’. It is alleged that tests were being conducted in the mohalla clinic without any patient. Fake mobile numbers were entered in the entry of patients. Till the time of writing the news, there was no reaction from the Delhi government on this.
According to Raj Bhavan sources, payment was given to private labs in exchange for lakhs of fake tests. A scam worth billions was done in the name of the poor of Delhi. It is also alleged that many doctors in Mohalla Clinic were wrongly registering their attendance on the basis of pre-recorded videos. Tests and medicines were being prescribed to the patients by non-medical staff.
After the new recommendation made by LG, the tension between Arvind Kejriwal government and Raj Bhavan may increase once again. The LG has recommended investigation into fake tests in Mohalla clinics at a time when the Central Investigation Agency is already engaged in several investigations against the Arvind Kejriwal government, the most prominent of which is the alleged liquor scam. ED itself has summoned Arvind Kejriwal thrice. Aam Aadmi Party fears that Kejriwal may be arrested soon.
