Judge violates decorum: Touched victim inappropriately in chamber, 3 judges will investigate – Bollywood Keeda

Agartala, In Kamalpur, Tripura, a First Class Judicial Magistrate sexually harassed a rape victim. The incident is of 16th February. The victim woman alleges that she had gone to the magistrate’s chamber with her husband to record her statement against the rape accused. Even before the victim could say anything, the judge started touching her body inappropriately. After this she immediately came out and told about the incident. A senior advocate said that a panel of three judges headed by Dhalai District Sessions Judge Gautam Sarkar has started investigating the allegations against the judge.

Kamalpur police station has said that it has received a written complaint against the accused Judge Vishwatosh Dhar, but has not registered the case yet. Apart from her husband, the woman also informed the lawyers present outside the Magistrate Court about the incident that happened to her. A female constable had also accompanied the victim to the magistrate’s chamber, but the accused judge did not allow her to stay with him. After this, her husband also lodged a separate complaint with the Kamalpur Bar Association regarding the incident.

Crime against women increased in the country
