New Delhi. State BJP president Virendra Sachdeva has condemned the Aam Aadmi Party-ruled MCD for issuing a public notice threatening people living in villages and unauthorized colonies.
He said that this anti-people notice has been issued by the Property Tax Department of MCD on November 14. To increase the revenue of MCD, Aam Aadmi Party has now decided to ignore the opposition to imposing property tax on the village properties of 365 village panchayats of Delhi. Also like villages, there are many disputes related to payment of property tax of residents of unauthorized colonies and hence in its 15 years in MCD service the BJP administration never pressured the residents of unauthorized colonies and villages to pay tax .
Sachdeva said the AAP-ruled MCD is threatening residents of unauthorized colonies and villages with prosecution and fines. BJP councilors will strongly oppose such threatening public notice in the upcoming meeting of the MCD House.
