Ranchi. In the third Test match against England, India’s first innings was reduced to 307 runs. With this, England entered the field with a lead of 46 runs in the second innings. Wicketkeeper batsman Dhruv Jurel had a big contribution in improving the Indian innings which seemed limited to 200-220 runs at one time, who missed his first century by just 10 runs. India started its first innings with 219 runs at the loss of 7 wickets this morning by Dhruv Jurel and Kuldeep Yadav. The pair of Jurel and Yadav, who were taking India’s score forward with a steady innings in the initial hours, broke at 253 runs when Kuldeep was bowled by James Anderson. Akash Deep, who came on the field after Kuldeep, also supported Jurel well and took the innings to 293 runs. After Arshdeep’s departure, Jurel could not hold the innings for long and was bowled on 90 runs by Tom Hartley.
