Five multilevel parking ready in the capital, hope for relief from jam soon – Bollywood Keeda

New Delhi, People in the capital are now hopeful of getting relief from the jam soon. The construction work of multilevel car parking has been completed at five places. All parking will be operational within three months.

People often have to face parking problems in Delhi. Due to lack of parking facilities at various places and busy markets, people park their vehicles on the roadside. Therefore, market associations and local people have demanded to start them soon.

President of Dariba Jewelery Association in Chandni Chowk, Tarun Gupta said that Gandhi Maidan multilevel car parking has not been officially started yet. With its launch, people will get a lot of convenience. Also, the corporation should ensure that there is no encroachment on the approach road leading to this parking.

All parking will start within three months. A senior officer of the corporation said that all multi-level car parking will be started within the next three months. A trial run was conducted in the parking lot of Gandhi Maidan located at Chandni Chowk, which was successful. Multilevel car parking built in Lajpat Nagar and other places will also be started soon. All parking lots are also being tested thoroughly.

Parking is ready here

1. Multilevel car parking for 81 cars in Amar Colony, Lajpat Nagar was initially planned to be started by 31 July 2023. Now preparations are on to start it in January. Its construction has cost Rs 13.47 crore.

2. Parking for 500 cars in Shiva Market Pitampura was to start by 31 August 2023. This has cost about Rs 66 crore.

3. Multilevel car parking was prepared for 2338 cars at Gandhi Maidan Chandni Chowk as per Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. It was planned to start it by 31 August 2023. Now it can start in January and February. This has cost about Rs 445 crore.

4. Multilevel parking for 196 cars in Bagh Deewar Market Fatehpuri was planned to be started by 31 August 2023. It has been built at a cost of approximately Rs 12.45 crore.

5. The parking for 174 cars at Qutub Road was planned to start on 31 August 2023. It has cost about Rs 30 crore.
