Fake News: The Central Government has termed as fake the short notice going viral on social media in which it has been claimed that there is recruitment for 4660 posts of constable and sub inspector in RPF. The government has clarified that no such advertisement has been issued by the Railway Ministry. PIB Fact Check said on Twitter that no advertisement of any kind has been issued for the recruitment of Sub Inspector (SI) and Constable.

Let us tell you that yesterday an advertisement had gone viral in which information about the bumper recruitment in RPF and its details was given. In which Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued short notification for Sub Inspector (SI) and Constable recruitment in Railway Protection Force (RPF). A total of 4,660 posts will be filled through this recruitment drive. The application process for this government job will start from 15th April and will end on 14th May.

Under this recruitment drive, 4,208 posts of constable and 452 posts of Sub Inspector will be filled. All the posts are for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Disabled. Candidates will be given reservation as per rules. However, information about how many seats have been reserved for which category has not been given in the short notification. According to the notification, this recruitment is not suitable for disabled category candidates. Candidates selected for the post of constable will get a salary of Rs 21,700 per month and candidates selected for the post of Sub Inspector will get Rs 35,400 per month.
