ED has termed AAP’s claim of arresting Kejriwal as a rumour. ED sources said that today neither Kejriwal will be interrogated nor will he be arrested. Right now the investigating agency is examining Kejriwal’s reply. After this, ED will send the fourth notice for questioning in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam.
Stirring intensifies after AAP leaders’ claims
Atishi Marlena, a minister in the Kejriwal government, claimed that news is coming that ED may raid Kejriwal’s house on Thursday morning and arrest him. Not only this, Atishi also raised questions on the ED summons during the Lok Sabha elections. While talking to India Today, he said, Kejriwal is ready to answer every question of ED. ED issued three summons in the last two weeks. But ED is not providing the questions in written form.
Security has been increased outside the house of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Some contingent of Delhi Police personnel is standing outside Kejriwal’s residence. Security outside the residence is more stringent than on other days.
Like Atishi Marlena, another Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj also made the same claim by tweeting. Bhardwaj wrote, It is being heard that tomorrow ED is going to reach CM Kejriwal’s house and arrest him. AAP leader Jasmine Shah wrote on Twitter, sources have confirmed that ED will raid Kejriwal’s house on Thursday. He may be arrested.
Last night we came to know from solid sources that there is going to be an ED raid and Kejriwal ji is going to be arrested. When Manish Sisodia was arrested, BJP people started saying that he was going to be arrested. ED had rejected. When Sanjay Singh was arrested, BJP people had said that he would be arrested within 24 hours, even then the ED had denied. BJP comes to know before the summons is issued. In the last 24 hours, BJP leaders are saying that Kejriwal is going to be arrested. Arrest warrant will be issued from BJP office, ED will take action after this: Jasmine Shah
