New Delhi , On the occasion of Chhath Puja, heavy vehicles will be diverted from Mahamaya flyover to Delhi via Sarita Vihar on Kalindi Kunj Marg and Hindon Bridge Kulesara from Sunday. This arrangement will remain in effect till Monday. According to the traffic police, heavy vehicles coming from Greater Noida will be diverted from Charkha roundabout, which will be able to go to Delhi via DND, Chilla. If necessary, heavy vehicles going face-to-face from Surajpur on Hindon-Kulesara road will be diverted from the unpaved road Tiraha towards Kisan Chowk.

Additional Police Commissioner Law and Order Anand Kulkarni inspected the Chhath Puja Ghat built in Noida Sector-126 on Friday. He examined the security preparations here. The Additional Police Commissioner directed that all preparations should be completed on time. Arrangements should be made to control the crowd by installing barricades around all the pandals. Instructions were given to ACP Rajneesh Verma and police station in-charge to deploy adequate number of police forces.
Traffic route changed from Sunday
In view of Chhath Puja, traffic diversion will be done from 3 pm on Sunday on Kalindi Kunj road and Haranandi bridge Kulesara going towards Delhi from Mahamaya flyover via Sarita Vihar. This information was given by a police officer. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumar Yadav said that heavy vehicles coming from Greater Noida will be diverted from Charkha roundabout, these vehicles will be able to go towards Delhi via DND and Chilla.
He said that if necessary, such a system will be implemented for light vehicles also. He said that heavy vehicles coming from Mahamaya flyover can be diverted from Gaushala roundabout towards Charkha roundabout. He said that apart from this, heavy vehicles going towards Phase-II from Surajpur on Harnandi Kulesara will be diverted from the unpaved road Tiraha towards Kisan Chowk.
