Delhi’s air becomes poisonous again, air in 18 areas again reaches severe category – Bollywood Keeda

New Delhi . The air in the capital has again become poisonous. On Thursday, Delhi’s air quality index reached the threshold of severe category. The sharp increase in the level of pollution can be understood from the fact that the index has increased by 108 points within 24 hours. The air in 18 areas has reached severe category.

This time the problem of pollution is prolonging in the capital. After October 20, there has not been a single day when the air has been breathable. During this period the air has been in the bad, very bad, severe or extremely severe category. After the rain on Monday and Tuesday, a slight improvement in pollution levels was recorded on Wednesday, but a day later on Thursday, the air quality index reached the threshold of severe category.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average air quality index of Delhi stood at 398 on Thursday. This level of air is classified as very poor, but it is just three points below the severe category. On Wednesday the index was at the mark of 290. That means the index has increased by 108 points within 24 hours.

The air quality index of 18 areas of Delhi crossed 400 and reached the severe category at 4 pm on Thursday. The air quality index of all these places is above 400. The index of Mundka and Wazirpur area was above 450 i.e. the air reached extremely severe category. At present the wind speed has slowed down in Delhi. Especially on Wednesday the wind speed was very low.

Temperature remained below normal due to lack of sunlight

This time November has been half a degree colder than normal. However, the minimum temperature has been normal. Due to low wind speed and absence of strong sunlight, a decrease in maximum temperature has been recorded. According to the Meteorological Department, the average maximum temperature in the month of November at Safdarjung Meteorological Center is 28.4 degrees Celsius. But, this time the average maximum temperature of the month has been 27.9 degrees Celsius. Which is 0.5 degrees Celsius less than normal. At the same time, the average minimum temperature of the month is 13 degrees Celsius.
