Union Home Minister Amit Shah will present the ‘National Capital Territory of Delhi Government Amendment Bill, 2023’ in the Rajya Sabha today i.e. on August 7. Earlier on August 3, the National Capital Territory of Delhi Government Amendment Bill was passed by the Lok Sabha, considering the decision of the Lieutenant Governor to be final in the appointment and transfer of officers in the capital Delhi. Responding to the four-and-a-half-hour discussion on the bill, the Home Minister raised questions on the attitude of the opposition.
He said that the opposition is not concerned about the interest of the country, the interest of Delhi, but is concerned about saving the alliance. He had asked why the opposition is not remembering the Manipur violence today? Why is the opposition not demanding to call the Prime Minister to the House today? Even before this, when nine bills were passed, why did the opposition not participate in the discussion?
