Delhi in the grip of cold wave, possibility of dense fog – Bollywood Keeda

New Delhi , The effect of dense fog is visible throughout North India. The cold wave is also affecting flights and trains. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain more or less like this for the next several days. More than 150 flights and trains have been affected due to the severe cold wave. A yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department regarding this, while light or moderate fog is likely to last for a few days from Monday.

According to the Meteorological Department, today i.e. Sunday morning there will be moderate to dense fog in the capital. It will be partly cloudy during the day. The maximum and minimum temperatures can be 19 and 11 degrees Celsius respectively. Similar weather will continue on Monday also. From Tuesday, the maximum temperature will increase by about two degrees and the minimum temperature will drop by two to three degrees. Generally, the situation is likely to be similar in the NCR areas adjacent to Delhi.

Due to the icy winds coming from the north-west direction, the cold has started increasing in Delhi. Slight improvement was seen in fog on Saturday. In the morning, visibility was recorded at 600 meters in Safdarjung, while 500 meters in Palam.

More than three dozen trains affected Due to fog, more than three dozen trains reached various stations of Delhi late by two to six hours. According to railway officials, trains are likely to be affected for the next few days. Due to fog, more than 50 planes took off late. However, no aircraft was diverted.

Moderate to dense fog was seen in many parts of Delhi on Saturday morning, although visibility improved in some areas. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), visibility was 200 meters at Delhi’s main weather station Safdarjung and 500 meters at the ridge. Due to dense fog, train service was affected for the fourth consecutive day on Saturday and 30 trains coming to Delhi were delayed.

According to the IMD, the maximum temperature in the national capital on Saturday was recorded at 20.3 degrees Celsius, which is normal for this time of the year, while the minimum temperature was 11.8 degrees Celsius, five degrees above normal. IMD said that the relative humidity in the city was recorded between 88 to 87 percent.
