Gorakhpur. In the district, a cyber criminal stole Rs 3.80 lakh by downloading AnyDesk app from a constable’s account. On Thursday evening, Shahpur police registered a case of fraud and started investigating the matter.
According to the information, Devendra Kumar is working as head warder in Gorakhpur District Jail. He gave an application to Shahpur police and told that last Saturday he was searching the customer care number of a bank on Google to close the credit card, during this time he got a call from an unknown number and said, what is your problem?
The victim told that I have to get my credit card closed. The cyber criminal took the bank details from them and made them download the AnyDesk app and filled in the credit card and bank account details and said that the credit card would be closed after some time.

After some time, when the message of money being deducted from the bank account came, the victim came to know that he had been cheated, after which he lodged a complaint with the police. On Thursday evening, Shahpur police registered a case of fraud and started investigation.
