Meerut News. In the Ravindra Bhura murder case, the court, while giving its verdict after 18 years, has acquitted all the five accused, giving them the benefit of doubt. The accused benefited from the weak investigation of the police and lack of evidence. Let us tell you that during the shootout that took place on October 16, 2006 in the Meerut court complex, Ravindra Bhura, his nephew, a constable and an attacking criminal died on the spot.
The police team had brought jailed criminal Ravindra Bhura to appear before him. At around 1 o’clock in the afternoon, some miscreants opened fire on Ravindra Bhura while he was in police custody. During this, the police also retaliated and there was heavy firing from both the sides. In the firing that lasted for about 10 minutes, the attacking miscreants shot dead Ravindra Bhura, his nephew Gaurav and a constable Manoj. In retaliation, a criminal Rajendra alias Churmuda was shot dead.

In this case, a case of murder was registered against unknown accused by Inspector Resham Singh in Civil Line police station. Police later sent a charge sheet to the court against seven accused including gangster Ajay Jadeja, Ajay Malik alias Jangu, Azad, Sushil alias Bantu, Yashvira, Gulab alias Fauji, Rajendra alias Churmuda.
During the proceedings in the court that lasted for 18 years, 27 witnesses were presented by the prosecution. On Saturday, the court of Additional Sessions Judge Omveer Singh acquitted all the accused Ajay Jadeja, Ajay Malik alias Jangu, Azad, Gulab and Yashveer in this case. One accused has already died.
