New Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party has blamed the wrong policies of the Central Government for the decline in the participation of the production sector in the country’s economic system. AAP’s chief spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar said that instead of new employment in the country, unemployment is increasing.
He said that the Central Government shows the production results of a quarter in such a way that it seems that it is growing very fast. Citing World Bank data, he has alleged that the production sector’s share in GDP was 16 percent in 2014, which has come down to just 13.32 percent in 2022. This is the reason why unemployment has increased.
In a press conference held at the party office on Tuesday, Priyanka Kakkar said that the Central Government brought the Make in India scheme in 2014. Rs 450 crore was spent on its promotion. The goal of this plan was to increase the contribution of the production sector to the country’s GDP by 25 percent by the year 2022 and create 10 crore jobs. Today the results are completely opposite. Instead of new employment, unemployment has increased. The participation of the production sector in GDP has also decreased.
He said that according to the World Bank, India’s production sector is in great crisis. Such was the situation in the country in 1970. After this, in the year 1991, the policy of economic liberalization was made and a lot of work was done in the country, but now the situation is not good.
