2274 cadets will participate in NCC Republic Day Camp – Bollywood Keeda

New Delhi, 2274 cadets will participate in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp 2024. It includes cadets from 28 states and eight union territories. 907 women cadets will participate in this month-long camp. This year the number of women will be the highest. This camp started on Saturday with Sarva Dharma Puja at Cariappa Parade Ground, Delhi Cantt. This camp includes 171 cadets from North-Eastern region, 122 from Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh. This in itself portrays ‘Mini India’.

The officer said that under the youth exchange programme, cadets and officers from 25 friendly countries will also participate in the camp. These countries include Argentina, Botswana, Bhutan, Brazil, Czech Republic, Fiji, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Tajikistan, UK, Venezuela, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Nigeria. , Mauritius and Mozambique countries are included. On the first day of the camp, DG NCC Lieutenant General Gurveer Pal Singh asked the cadets to participate wholeheartedly and participate in every activity of the camp. He said that the barriers of religion, language and caste can be crossed with the spirit of nation first. The basic objective of the Republic Day Camp is to inculcate a sense of patriotism, discipline and leadership qualities among the cadets.
